TRAINING SESSIONS

The location of the venues for the organised clubhouse and track training sessions are listed below. The sessions are:

TUESDAYS 6.45-8pm - - - - COPTHALL STADIUM - - - - ALL AGES (over 11)

The club's main track training session is based at Copthall Stadium. The sessions are organised by Coaching Coordinator Steve Harris. The club's coaching staff take groups of athletes for formal instruction in the techniques of the various track and field events. First contact - Steve Harris (Coordinator) on 0208 368 6754.

THURSDAYS 6.45-8pm - - - - CLUBHOUSE - - - - SENIORS

This session caters for Senior athletes and the older young athletes. Based at the clubhouse, it consists of groups of varying ability, going for road or country runs of from 3 miles to 8 miles. Newcomers are put with an experienced club member at first to ensure that they become familiar with the routes and are able to become accustomed to the routine gradually.

THURSDAYS 6.45-8pm - - - - COPTHALL STADIUM - - - - ALL AGES (over 12)

This track training session is also based at Copthall Stadium. these sessions are for any athletes wishing to focus on events from 400m through to 5k. SATURDAYS 9-15am - - - - TRENT PARK - - - - SENIOR MEN AND WOMEN

Training sessions for seniors led, by coaches Richard McCormick/Des Michael and Maggie Govender.

SATURDAYS 9-15am - - - - TRENT PARK - - - - OLDER YOUNG ATHLETES (by invitation only)

Training sessions for older young athletes, by middle-distance coach Jim Neville (0208 449 6487).

SATURDAYS 10-45am - - - - TRENT PARK - - - - YOUNG ATHLETES

Training sessions for young athletes (8-12 years old), by middle-distance coach Jim Neville (0208 449 6487).

SUNDAYS 11am (SUMMER ONLY by prior arrangement) - - - - COPTHALL - - - - ALL AGES (over 12)

Training sessions for all ages focusing on sprint technique led, by coaches Ty Holden (07737803260 ) and James Taylor (07985571569).

THE QE CENTRE

The QE Centre is extensively used for short courses for the younger age groups - 8-12s - covering all the standard athletic events.
Other sessions are organised by the coaches (and by athletes) on an individual or group basis.

COACHING STAFF

The active coaching staff consists of 1 Level IV Coach, 5 Level III Coaches, 13 Level II Coaches, and 6 Level I Coaches. The club's coaching is organised by a Coaching Committee, under coaching coordinator Steve Harris (0208-368-6754).

Group events are the responsibility of:
